Pick an item of clothing you have. It has to be made of natural fabric (cotton, silk etc). Other possible items include a lamp shade, pencil case, back pack, purse ...anything made of natural fabrics.
Search famous photographers on google and spend 10min looking at how they compose their photos. Think about what makes them great photos. You will be asked to show us one photo and talk about it.
Remember what you learned from the famous photographers. Carefully with much thought, compose a photograph that you want to print onto your fabric item. It must use one or more of the following that we practiced in class: perspective photography, form photography, texture photography. It must be a high contrast image. It helps if you take the photo in black and white.
Ask yourself: Will this image fit on the item? Will it rap around the item? You must take this photo yourself. Make sure its an image you would want to wear.
Save it on a usb stick and bring it to class with your fabric item, or save it on your email / facebook ...somewhere you can access it from a school computer.
